Gailey Pottery is a working craft studio where trade and public customers are welcome to visit. The showroom is crammed with inspirational ceramics designed and made on the premises by Paul Gooderham. In addition, visitors will discover a further selection of traditional and contemporary ceramics chosen from a broad range of practising potters all working in Britain and further enriching the work on show.

What used to be the church’s vestry and chancel has been thoughtfully restored into the studio’s showroom, breathing new life into this iconic building. Customers returning time and again are thrilled when coaxed into handling the work on display and feel comfortable to browse without being put under any obligation to make a purchase.

To complement the more modern aspects of the work presented in the showroom, a recent addition has been an expansive selection of “Retro” ceramics, the work of potteries no longer trading which spans several decades. The names of potteries such as Celtic, Troika and Shanklin come straight to mind but many others are available in a constantly changing range. All of the retro work on display is for sale as are the unusual pottery artefacts that include chimney pots, cider barrels and roof finials.

Here at Gailey Pottery the work is selected with great care, trusting that the choices made will delight all customers whether they are new or have visited us before.
